Paradigm-Shifting Modler Grinding Technology for Tapered Rollers
The Kansara group’s commitment to design, innovation and quality is best reflected in the fact that we are the only independent taper roller producer in the world working on paradigm-shifting modler grinding technology. The is not only a completely revolutionary technology but has several advantages over the competing technologies and techniques used in the industry. A few of the advantages are listed below:
1. Single Diameter Group
Our grinding technology ensures that the entire batch of taper rollers belongs to one consistent diameter group. This eliminates the need for diameter grouping. Diameter grouping of taper rollers, in itself, is a subjective technique and leads to inconsistency and wastage both at the taper roller supplier’s end and the bearing manufacturer’s end. Inconsistent diameter of rollers is also detrimental to the life of the bearing due to non-uniform loading. With our technology, the entire batch of taper rollers is in one consistent diameter group. This not only greatly improves the life of the bearings but also prevents a lot of hassle caused by grouping at our customer’s end.
2. Better Crown Profile
The honing technique used throughout the bearing industry leads to multiple radii crown profile on taper roller OD. Our technology, on the other hand, can guarantee a single radii crowned profile on the taper roller OD. Again, this leads to longer life for the bearings and better adherence to our customer’s requirements.
3. Better Angle Spread
With the honing technique, the angle spread for taper rollers depends on the input roller’s spread and can vary widely. Our technology, on the other hand, can ensure a single consistent angle spread for the entire lot.
4. Objective Crown Profile Centering
The honing technique used throughout the bearing industry is a statistical process. So by its very nature it leads to subjective non-centered crown profile on taper roller OD. Our technology, on the other hand, can guarantee an objectively centered crowned profile on taper roller OD. Again, this leads to longer life for the bearings and better adherence to our customer’s requirements.
5. Crown Height Range
The honing technique has very little flexibility with the crown height that can be achieved on the roller OD. Our technology, on the other hand, has a wide range of the crown height that can be achieved and leads to flexibility on the customer’s end.
6. Better Lubricant Retention
The honing technique produces a glossy surface which leads to poor lubricant retention and hence causes more skidding. Out technology, on the other hand, produces a taper roller with a surface texture with better lubricant retention and hence improving the life of the roller and the bearing.
7. Sphered End-Face Profile
Our grinding technology ensures a sphered end face profile on taper rollers which remains consistent throughout the batch.
